Carbon Steel DIN 17173 pipes are mainly composed of carbon (C: 0.10–0.25%), manganese (Mn: 0.40–1.40%), silicon (Si: ≤ 0.35%) plus traces of phosphorus (P: ≤ 0.035%) and sulfur (S: ≤ 0.035%) for strength and weldability. This pipe has tensile strength in the range of 360–510 MPa, and yield strength at 235 MPa, and elongation is at a level of 25%. They are excellent in toughness and corrosion resistance, thus ideal for pressure applications in construction, automotive, and engineering industries.
