Alloy Steel F5 bar (ASTM A182) is 5% chromium, 0.5% molybdenum, chromium-molybdenum steel. The presence is carbon (0.05-0.15%), manganese (0.30-0.60%), silicon (0.15-0.50%), and minimal traces of nickel and vanadium. The mechanical properties are tensile strength (620-850 MPa), yield strength (415 MPa), and elongation (12%). Its strengths are higher heat resistance, high creep strength, and good toughness, which make it suitable for use at high temperatures in products like turbine blades and pressure vessels.
